Memorial Ride on Track - May 26th to 30th 2022

After a two year gap due to travel restrictions the RGLI Memorial Ride is finally back on track and raring to go. Arranged for May this year with in excess of 25 motorbikes in is over a long weekend.

In a full itinerary the tour will see enthusiasts travelling from Guernsey to Cherbourg on Thursday 26th May and into Normandy. On Friday 27th May the group will stop in Cambrai, before visiting Masnieres the following day and carrying out a small memorial service at the regiments French Monument in Les Rues Vertes (pictured here in 2019).

That evening and by special permission, the RGLI will lay a wreath on behalf of the

regiment at the world renowned Menin Gate in Ypres.

The tour will then take in much of the regiments postings in France, this year, including Doulieu where in April 1918 the RGLI faced the final great onslaught attack of WW1 at the Battle of Lys.
